Question by No Labels, Just Me: Where can I get a safe and reliable US proxy to use on a MacBook?

I want to be able to watch my TV shows from Israel, and I found some US proxy listings, but I’m not sure which ones are reliable and/or safe. If someone could let me know that would be terrific.

what’s the anti-virus protection have to do with me wanting a free screensaver?it was loading them down before.and not just that i had a butterfly wallpaper.and 3 days ago.i noticed it was gone,i thought maybe i erased it when i went to add/remove programs.but if your asking what security protection i’m using it’s a good one.aol.maybe the aol anti-virus detected it was a trojan/scam screensaver so it deleted it for me.so i don’t get my pc infected,it works great.maybe it’s working it’s gone.so maybe the pc detected it was bad.

  1. Proxy Portal says:

most of proxies are not safe
but some proxy sites use a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and it safe
i don’t know these are working on a mac-book or no but give it a try
you can find a lot of working SSL proxies here :
i hope that resolve your problem

Proxies are really not very good at all and they get blocked all the time as you probably know. Plus they have issues with many web site features that make them useless.

The number of proxies run by hackers is also growing daily and you risk your computer and more using one that claims to be anonymous. Plus they are easy to break and leak information.

The only proxy I’ve found to be somewhat useful because it changes IP’s daily is http://www.ippredator.com/index.html It is a limited proxy and only works with a few sites. But it seems to work most times and is safe to use. But it is not anonymous.

The better approach is the Personal VPN which unblocks everything, encrypts your entire connection for security, and doesn’t get blocked daily. http://www.surfbouncer.com. Yea, it costs money, but it works all the time and is great with video.

Open free proxies are usually insecure – a hacker might have left it open to sniff your personal information.

If you are after fast, secure and reliable proxy service try googling for ‘us proxy’ to find the web sites which sell paid proxy subscriptions.
