Q&A: Why would my website be listed as a proxy avoidance website?
Question by blkobswg: Why would my website be listed as a proxy avoidance website?
I have a personal website that when I try to access from school it lists it as a proxy avoidance website. My website is a forum, nothing else. So why would it list it as a proxy avoidance site?
Answer by NoWay.
It could be the site your forum is being hosted from.
Like I know proboards message boards don’t work here.
Sometimes keywords are what sets it off to be blocked for whatever. I’ve tried to go to very harmless sites and it tells me that it’s R-rated content, sexual content, or some sort of free gaming site when it’s got nothing do with games at all.
I don’t know why they block the most harmless websites, but usually it’s so you don’t stray away from your work.
