Question by : Do files download through a proxy when you use one?

Just wondering if i download a file when im using a proxy if it goes through the proxy then me, or straight to me?
Plz dont just say yes or no.

    That depends on your browser and downloader. Browsers and downloaders may be set not to use system proxy settings that are set on Control Panel > Networking and Internet > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings. That’s the setting used by IE.

    If you use a different browser like Firefox or Google Chrome, or if you use a download manager like the Free Download Manager, you can choose not to use the system proxy settings or use a different setting by changing them in their own Options menu.

    What browser are you using? If you have Firefox, go to Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Connection Settings. You have 4 choices there to override the system proxy settings.

    Download managers also have similar settings.
