Question by Eat F: How do I have apps access the internet via proxy?

How do I set it up so that any time anything from my pc tries to access the internet, it does it through a proxy? I know how to use proxies for internet explorer but not how to set all other apps to also use them.

You will have to individually configure proxy functionality for basically every protocol or app that goes through the proxy. I’ve never done it myself because it’s never been worth the pain of setting one up.

There are a lot of applications that either won’t work with or will leak around a proxy. There really is no way to do this 100% with a proxy. This is something more like what the VPN was designed to do. They work on a lower level of the network and encapsulate all traffic regardless of where it’s coming from.
