Question by babelglyph: How do I get past a site that blocks proxy access?

I am trying to access a website without revealing my personal info. However, whenever I try to use simple proxies (found via Google), I get a page telling me I can’t use a proxy. What can I use that won’t get flagged as a proxy and automatically blocked?

try TOR

Tor protects you by bouncing your communications around a distributed network of relays run by volunteers all around the world: it prevents somebody watching your Internet connection from learning what sites you visit, and it prevents the sites you visit from learning your physical location.

I was having that same problem here at school. I couldn’t even google the word proxy without getting the blocked filter page. Then my friend told me about this site. It’s been weeks that I’ve been using it and for whatever reason the filters have not blocked it. Hope this helps

But please be aware that ALL proxies have the ability of saving the info you enter on their site – meaning: if they want, they can use it against you, but hacking you, etc.

Because people don’t want to realize that a free proxy is worth crap…you can’t expect a free product found through Google to be effective and do its job. How many free products can you find that you would trust? Would you trust someone off the street to give you something without a catch?

Those programs are used more as circumventor just to get around blocks, but offers little to no protection. That is why the site is blocking you…the proxy sucks.
